In the issue of Vanity Fair from July 2003 it was reported that she was one of the most popular teen stars for the entire year. In 2004 Vega finished filming two films: Sleepover and State's Evidence. Later that year she made her debut in the Lifetime TV film Odd Girl Out, as a victim of cyber-bullying. She starred in a made-for television film in 2006 called Walkout. in 2007, she finished shooting Remember the Daze which was only made available to limited theaters. Repo is her swan song. The Genetic Opera, which premiered in 2008. Aram Rappaport wrote and directed Helix and Helix in Chicago. Filming started in the month of March in 2008. Her initial role was for Robert Rodriguez's 2009 Robert Rodriguez film Shorts. Due to the fact that she was traveling to Australia to film Broken Hill, the role as Vega in Shorts was changed. Her replacement was Kat Dennings. She was on Broadway in Hairspray with the character Penny. Her role as Ruby Gallagher was on the ABC Family TV sitcom Ruby & the Rockits in 2009. The show also featured Patrick Cassidy and David David Cassidy, and Patrick Cassidy. Vega portrays Wick In The Devil's Carnival (2012) which is a film by directors Darren Lynn Bousman, and Terrance Zdunich. They have previously collaborated with Vega on Repo!
