Awkwafina
Awkwafina began as a American musician and rapper performing sly tunes that dealt with topics like racial or sexual identities with a funny twist. In the years before she stepped into Hollywood the singer had the opportunity to make a few songs. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents who hail from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was the first instrument she played for her. After classical and Jazz training, she delved into hip-hop as a teen. In college, she studied the field of women's studies and journalism. She even spent some time learning Mandarin during her time in Beijing. Her focus shifted to music only after she graduated. The song My Vag, a response track to the Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in the year 2012. The track was later included in her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. It also included viral hits like body positive Queef & winking home tour NYC Bitche$1. The latter track connected directly into another venture Awkwafina's NYC A travel guide that was released in 2015. She opted to pursue a career as an actor following the completion of her previous two ventures as a musician and author. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films such as Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap. Her breakout performances included Dude Ocean's 8, and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
